I found the answer a few weeks ago when I sat in on an evening class at Westtown School, a private high school in West Chester, Pa. The class isn’t Latin or history or English or math; it is business ethics and it is being taught, not to adults or college students, but to high-school students.

A group of Lower School families volunteered their time on December 16 sorting and organizing donations. Cradles to Crayons (cradlestocrayons.org) provides essentials like clothes, shoes, books and school supplies to homeless and low-income children.

Westtown musicians Kevin Alloway '11, flute; Daniel Miller '11, euphonium; and Emily Blackman '13, clarinet were chosen to represent the school in the PMEA District 12 festival culminating with a concert on Saturday, Feb. 12 at Penncrest HS. Congratulations!
