Tim Barnard
Committees: Advancement
Tim is a founding partner of the Media (PA) law firm Barnard Mezzanotte Pinnie & Seelaus. Tim and his wife Marjorie (FF, Admissions 1989-94) are the parents of three Westtown graduates: Daron ‘91, Brennan ’92 (FF, College Counseling) and Justin ‘98. He returns to the Board after having served from 1984-1996; 1997-2002 and as clerk from 1998-2001
Robert C. Bishop ’74
Committees: Advancement; Building/Grounds
Bob owns RCB Associates, a Boston-area firm which sells used furniture to small and medium-size businesses. He also serves on the Leadership Gift Committee; a reunion planner, he served on his class’ 25th reunion gift committee.
Joshua H. Bond '86
Committees: Advancement (clerk); Executive
Josh is the Director of Development for the National Humanities Center in North Carolina. He has previously served Westtown as a class agent and a member of the Major Gifts and Advancement Committees (non-board).
Kent D.W. Bream ’86
Committees: Finance, Admissions and Marketing
Kent is an Academic Family Physician and a college house faculty fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. President of the Westtown Alumni Association Board of Managers, he is also involved as a volunteer physician with a community clinic in Philadelphia and the Guatemala Health Initiative, Santiago Atitlán.
Thomas K. Brosius ’75
Committees: Finance (clerk); Executive
Tom owns and manages Marlboro Mushrooms, a family mushroom farm in Chester County. His daughters are class of 2005 and 2007 and his wife works as a nurse in Walker House. He is currently chair of the Chester County Conservation District, is involved in research for the American Mushroom Institute, and is active in his monthly meeting.
Luis Castillo ’80
Committees: Advancement, Finance
Luis is the senior vice president of the Foundations Enterprise Systems business segment within the Heath Services division of Siemens Medical Solutions, overseeing more than 800 employees on three continents. He has worked for Siemens for over 20 years, when he started as a programmer in clinical development. He is a graduate of Haverford College. His daughter Julie is a student at Lower School.
Jonathan W. Evans '73
Committees: Executive, Committee on Trustees (clerk)
Jon has served in various capacities doing international humanitarian development and emergency relief work from 1983-2005; most recently he was Indonesia Country Representative for Catholic Relief Services. His wife Melissa Graf-Evans teaches music and languages at Westtown, and his three children are current students.
Bruce S. Haines ’73

Bruce is Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Unit of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D). His daughter graduated from Westtown in 2005. He served for many years on the Board of Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, now the Scattergood Behavioral Health Foundation, and he has been active in the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Holly Harper ’78

Holly is the Director of Stewardship Planning and Art Director for the Natural Lands Trust, and the owner of a graphic design firm. She is also involved in the Ringfield Homeowners Association and open space issues.
Heather Hoerle ’77
Committees: Admissions/Marketing (clerk); Executive; Personnel Policy Review
Heather is Vice-President, Member Relations for the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), in Washington, DC. She is active on the board of the local Women’s Club and volunteers at her daughter’s elementary school. From 1984-87 she served as Assistant Director of Admissions at Westtown.
David Jones ‘72
Committees: Buildings/Grounds
David works for The Kendal Corporation as a Project Director. His three children are Westtown graduates (Sarah ’02, Andrew ’04, Gordon ’07). He returns to the Board after a one-year absence, having previously served four terms (1994-06) (clerk Advancement, Finance, Buildings and Grounds, Committee on Trustees, Executive). Currently he is co-clerk of the Sustainability Work Group.
Kent Julye '80
Kent is self-employed in consulting with small to medium sized food service industry restaurants, clubs and hotels. He has served on the Westtown Alumni Association Board of Managers, Chester County YMCA and the Coatesville Cultural Society.
Arthur Larrabee ’60
Committees: Committee on Trustees; Executive
Arthur Larrabee was appointed General Secretary of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in 2007. He has served his Monthly Meeting and Yearly Meeting in a multitude of roles, including Clerk of Yearly Meeting (1992-1995) and Clerk of Interim Meeting (since September 2006). He is highly regarded by Friends all over the country as a consultant and teacher on Quaker decision-making and clerking.
Katie McKinstry '03
Committee: Admissions and Marketing
Katie is a 2007 graduate of Yale University, where she majored in History and Mechanical Engineering. She is currently employed by Lehman Brothers Inc., in New York, NY, as an equity research analyst. Katie has many Westtown connections, including her brother, Luke ’06, her father John '77/CF and her late grandmother Betsy Romig McKinstry '44, former clerk of the General Committee.
Robert McKinstry ‘71
Committee: Building/Grounds
Bobby recently completed a six-year term as Penn State University's Maurice K. Goddard Chair in Forestry and Environmental Resource Conservation and is currently a co-partner in charge of a 24-lawyer Environmental Practice Group within the Philadelphia law firm of Ballard Spahr Andrews and Ingersoll, LLP. He is the father of three Westtown alumni, Andrew ’99, Spencer ’01 and Erin ’05. He also serves on the boards of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, the Pennsylvania Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, the Pennsylvania Resources Council and the Pennsylvania Institute for Conservation Education.
Katharine Niles McLean ’57
Committees: Advancement; Finance
Kate was a teacher and administrator of a large pre-school for 23 years until her retirement. She is an active lay-person in the United Church of Christ serving on many committees in local Church and State Conference including terms as chair of local church governing board, moderator of Connecticut Conference, and delegate to national Synod meetings, and is presently serving as Co-Chair of the Now for the Future capital campaign for the Conference. She is also an active volunteer for Westtown, having served as Co-Chair of the Bicentennial Fund, and currently as a member of the Class of 1957 50th reunion gift committee, She is the wife of a Westtown classmate, the parent of three Westtown alumni, and the grandparent of a member of the class of 2010.
Mark Myers
Committees: Advancement
Mark currently farms in West Marlborough Township. He is retired from a career with the Xerox Corporation, where he was Senior Corporate Vice President for Research and Technology. Following retirement, he was Visiting Executive Professor of Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, then Interim General Secretary, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.
Anne Steere Nash ’52

Anne is a retired educator/psychologist who has worked mostly in elementary and middle schools, but has also taught primary grades and University Courses; she has taught English in Beijing and was Interim Head of Cambridge Friends School. She is active in Wellesley Friends Meeting, presently clerk of the Working Group on Racism, active in the NEYM Working Party on Racism. She clerks the Faith and Practice Committee at CFS and does Quaker orientation at local Quaker Schools for parents and faculty.
Brenda Perkins ’75

Brenda is a veterinarian and owner of the West Chester Animal Hospital. She returns to the Board having previously served for 12 years; she serves as Board Recording Clerk and on Westtown’s Multicultural Board. Her son is a junior at Westtown.
Robert P. Roche

Bob is Executive Vice President of Pharmaceutical Operations for Cephalon, Inc., where he manages worldwide sales, marketing and commercial activities. His volunteer service has included various school and college ( Colgate University) related activities as well as work for Bryn Mawr Hospital. He is the father of Meghan ’06, Robert ’08 and Stephen ’10.
Drew Smith ’82
Committees: Admissions/Marketing; Executive; Personnel Policy Review
Drew is Head of School at Friends School Mullica Hill (NJ). He also serves on the boards of Moorestown Friends School and the Cadbury Foundation, is a mentor for the Friends Council’s Leadership Institute, and serves on the steering committee of the Friends Mutual Health Insurance initiative.
Michael Wajda
Committees: Admissions/Marketing; Head Support
Michael is Associate Secretary for Development and Interpretation for Friends General Conference. His two sons are Westtown alumni. He is past clerk of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Committee on Worship and Ministry, travels in the ministry with Friends General Conference, and is a workshop leader and speaker on many topics related to Quaker spiritual life. He currently serves on the Board of the School of the Spirit, and on the Religious Education and Worship and Ministry Committees of Goshen Friends Meeting.
Edward Winslow ’64

Ed is the father of two Westtown alumni, Ted and Margaret. Ed is a managing partner of Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, L.L.P., a North Carolina law firm. He serves as General Counsel to the North Carolina Bankers Association and is on the boards of the NC Bar Association, Canterbury School, Greensboro Economic Development Partnership, and the NC General Statutes Commission.
