Statement of Inclusiveness

Guided by the Quaker belief that there is that of God in all persons, Westtown School is a community of learners who value—and are themselves strengthened by—the rich diversity of its members. In order to prepare students for living and leading in a diverse and complex world, we welcome students, families, faculty, staff, and trustees with differences based on (but not limited to) race, color, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, family structure, and economic background.

Summer Faculty

The Summer Sessions at Westtown is a coeducational enrichment and day camp program founded in community, communication, cooperation and trust. Our teachers, artists, and instructors are experienced professionals with close ties to Westtown School. See our instructor profiles for more information.

Registration & Space Availability

Class size is limited so individualized attention can be given to each student. All sessions are associated with the grade level a student will enter in the fall of 2012. Many classes will make use of the 600-acre campus with its varied geographic features. Most classrooms are air-conditioned. Dress is casual and should reflect the nature of the program your child is attending. The instructor will communicate any specific requirements to you. Please include your email address on the registration form.

Costs: Tuition & Fees

A non-refundable deposit of $150.00 for individual courses, or payment in full along with your completed registration form will secure your child's place in the program. The balance is due on May 15, 2012. Registrations after May 15, 2012 require full payment with the completed regisrtration form.

Before and After Care are available weekly. Please see the registration form.

Refund Policy

All fees will be refunded, minus a $100.00 deposit for individual courses, $400.00 deposit for full day program, per participant, if a participant cancels by May 15, 2012. We cannot refund money for class changes or absences resulting from illness or a change in family plans after May 15.

Course Cancellation

If a course is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, all tuition, fees and deposits previously paid will be fully refunded. There will be no make-up classes or pro-rating of monies, due to absence, illness, or changes in family schedules.

Standards of Behavior

Westtown is a school community whose aims are the spiritual, intellectual, and social education of its members. We have many common expectations and rights which deserve mutual support. These include physical safety, personal honesty, protection of physical and emotional health and an orderly community in which to pursue our goals. Westtown School assumes that all Summer Session students will cooperate in its way of life and that they will observe the spirit of its rules.
