Solar Panel Information

Westtown School became an energy producer when the switch was thrown in November, 2008 to power a 44.6 kW solar array on its new Athletic Center. The panels, installed by Chesapeake Solar, cover the entire front roof of the new complex and will generate from 50,000 to 55,000 kWh hours of electricity each year for the school, with corresponding reductions in air pollution.
