Student leaders at Westtown have to really want the job! The application process is long and arduous, the electorate demanding, the expectations high. Being chosen to be a student leader means that a year of hard work is just beginning. The Westtown community counts on student leaders to help manage meals, study halls, and dorms. They have a crucial role in discipline council, peer mediations, prefect groups, and student council. These leaders work closely with adults sharing information and ideas. They meet weekly in a student leader seminar for mutual support and more formal workshops about issues that have an impact on the work they do with their fellow students. These 40+ young men and women are critical in the formation of the Westtown experience.
