Boarding and Dorm Life

Westtown School is home to a globally diverse community—literally. On-campus faculty families and Upper School boarding students infuse the school with warmth and life 24/7, enriching the Westtown experience for every student Pre-K through grade 12.

Generations of Westtown students—and their proud parents—can attest: there’s no better way to learn. In fact, 97% percent of recent graduates say they were better prepared for college life because of Westtown's residential program.

Living in this community and especially living “on dorm” in 11th and 12th grades cultivates the habits of mind and character that lead to success in college and in life: respect, patience, kindness, humor, honesty, and, perhaps most notably, confidence and independence. While other students experiment with the sometimes awkward new freedoms and responsibilities of life beyond high school, Westtown graduates simply continue their studies and their lives, relying on the wise habits they learned within the safety of the Westtown community.
