Kindergarten
Our kindergarteners are active participants in their learning. We believe children learn best through hands-on learning both in and out of the classroom. Throughout the year we will explore our own Westtown campus, making new discoveries by visiting local museums and cultural centers. Our rich curriculum is filled with exciting thematic units and educational components including Lucy Calkins' Reading and Writing Workshop, Everyday Mathematics and Reading Readiness, including phonics. We strive to celebrate diversity, spark awareness, and inspire compassion within our classrooms. Through conflict resolution, community service, and developing students interpersonal (other's feelings) and intrapersonal (your own feelings) skills, our students become active participants in making the world a better place.
