All experiences are designed for movement and great fun!!
Lower School Swimming
Lower School students are able to take advantage of Westtown's pool throughout the school year. Each class enjoys swimming instruction for a total of six weeks (3 sessions per week) as part of the regular physical education classes. Three or four instructors work with each group of 18 children, meeting the children where their abilities are and urging them to greater achievement. And it is fun!
Brown & White Day
Brown and White Day is a special occasion where all first through fifth graders participate in track and field events. The obstacle course, lap run, fun relays, rope-tug, and distance relay are some of the activities in which the children participate. The main emphasis is having fun, trying hard, and cheering on your team.

Play is such an important part of each child's day and barring extremes in the weather, we go out to our playground everyday. It is a time, not only to vary the day's schedule and take a deep breath, but also a time for the children to stretch their imaginations, and to organize themselves without adult direction. Whether spinning on the tire swing, playing soccer or sledding down our hill, it is a joyous time to be with friends.
