Health Center

Westtown School’s Health Center is dedicated to providing wellness initiatives that benefit all three divisions, as well as to caring for ill students. Health Center personnel work closely with school administrators on behalf of individual students, and they help educate students on health issues by teaching classes in the Upper School

The Health Center is staffed by registered nurses, two physicians, an on-campus counseling psychologist, as well as a Director of Health/Counseling Services. The school physicians visit campus twice a week and are on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. In addition, the Health Center contracts with an adolescent psychiatrist who is on campus one afternoon a week.

The Health Center is open 7am - 7pm Monday – Thursday, 7am - 5pm Fridays, 8:30am and 12:30pm on Saturdays and 12:30pm and 6:30pm - 7:30pm Sundays, with a nurse on call at all times. If a student requires services other than those provided by the school, the Health Center will assist in arranging appointments with outside service providers.

Prescription medications may be obtained through Westtown School’s affiliate pharmacy and are billed directly to the parents by the pharmacy. All medications are kept at the Health Center and dispensed on a prescribed basis.
