Tuesdays

Penn Oaks Tennis │ 1st - 5th grade │Tuesdays 3:35 - 4:35 │ September 19 - December 5 (Omit October 31 & November 21)

Penn Oaks has an outstanding group of professionals available to provide unparalleled service. Penn Oaks will help motivate, encourage and instruct in a non-threatening environment. Their goal is to make you feel as comfortable as you do in your own home. Classes will generally take place in the Field House. MooseKids staff will transport students to and from activities.


Wednesdays

 

LEGO Robotics │ 4th & 5th grade Boys │ Wednesdays 3:45 - 5:00 PM │ September 27 - December 6 │ Limit 8 Students │ $225.00

This year the FLL Challenge is called Hydro Dynamics which focuses on the power of water, its uses, and how we care for this important natural resource. As in past years, we’ll begin the club with the build-out of the mission board challenges and EV3 robots.



Metalsmithing │ 2nd - 5th grade │ Wednesdays 3:35 - 5:00 │ October - December 6 (Omit November 8 & 22)

In introduction to Metalsmithing, students will learn the basics of stamping and chiseling techniques to create patterns onto copper. Students will have the opportunity to learn Turkish designs along with creating new patterns, while learning about positive and negative space. Projects will include keychains, medallions, coasters, and plates

 

Thursdays

GYMKIDZ │ 1st - 5th grade │ Thursdays 3:35 - 4:35 PM │ September 28 - November 16 │ Outdoors (Athletic Center in inclement weather)

The program is based on the most current health and fitness guidelines and will help children establish goals and set the tone and awareness that guides them towards a healthy lifestyle.  

One of GYMGUYZ accredited trainers will work closely with students on exercises that provide the correct mix of fitness activities for cardiovascular health, gross motor coordination, agility, balance and strength training.  Activities will include obstacle courses, sports drills, stretching and focus, and interval training, and games using balls, weights, ropes, and other equipment that will be provided from the GYMGUYZ van.  

Each student will develop and learn team-building and problem solving skills as well as individual body awareness and have supportive experiences that are guaranteed to make fitness FUN!  



Sundays

Novice Swim 1 │ Pre-K - 2nd grade│ Sundays 2:00 - 2:30 & 2:30 - 3:00 PM │ September 17 - November 19

Children who are graduates of the Beginner level, and swimming successfully on their backs.  The self-rescue float is reinforced and students will progress into a front floating position by being taught how to roll from back to front and take freestyle arm strokes.

Goal: Self-sustaining floating position. Width of pool with freestyle arm strokes (unassisted)


Novice Swim 2 │ Pre-K - 2nd grade│ Sundays 3:00 - 3:30 & 3:30 - 4:00 PM │ September 17 - November 19

Children who have demonstrated the ability to perform a self-sustaining float and are ready to progression into freestyle swimming. Instructors will take students through a 3 step progression that will teach each swimmer how to perform proper bilateral freestyle swimming. Backstroke may be introduced.

Goal: 2 widths of pool, unassisted, bilateral freestyle.
