HOW TO APPLY
Students who are applying to the 6th through 12th grades at Westtown School may also apply for a merit scholarship by completing the Merit Scholarship application form. They must also submit an additional recommendation to support the application. While applying for Financial Aid is not a requirement, parents are strongly encouraged to do so. To learn more about this process and to apply, visit our Financial Aid page. Merit applications are due January 15.
Current Westtown students who are interested in applying for merit aid (for the first time) may apply as rising 6th grade or rising 9th grade students only. All other application deadlines and guidelines are the same.
There are a limited number of new awards each year. Grants for Middle School students are $2,500 and grants for Upper School students range from $2,500 to $15,000 with the average Upper School grant being $5,000. Typically, five to ten new awards are given annually, which is about 5% of newly enrolled students.
Annual award renewal will be contingent upon good academic and community standing. Students do not need to re-apply annually.
