The visual arts electives in Middle School are all taught by professional working artists. Students work in dedicated studio spaces for visual arts, ceramics, and sculpture. Our teachers incorporate the latest art-related technologies as well as teaching skills in traditional media.
All Middle School students take four semesters of visual and performing arts courses each year. All 6th grade students participate in an ensemble and a Creative Process arts class, exploring the creative worlds of music and movement, theater, and visual art. In 7th and 8th grade students have a variety of arts electives to choose from including studio art, ceramics, sculpture, theater, filmmaking, acting, music production, and music ensembles. Students learn to be interdisciplinary thinkers, as they craft their own tools of expression.
