Middle School Art

Creative Process (6th Grade)

Students found an ordinary object to turn into a small planet.

Using Monty Python’s “Ministry of Silly Walks” sketch as inspiration, students explored creative physicality by creating their own scene that features a silly walk, an objective, a moment of stillness, and a destination.

Sculpture (7th Grade)

Theater (8th Grade)

Students identified 18 things that would go in 18 pockets in a trenchcoat. Then, they exchanged their “coat” with another student—who then had to write a monologue about the 18 things in the trenchcoat pocket they got.
