Dear Friends,
Day in and day out, Westtown School is building a better future.
As I write this letter, our world continues to witness history in the making. Between a global pandemic, an impassioned drive for racial justice, and an escalating climate crisis, the future is taking shape. An unprecedented assault on democracy has laid bare both the strengths and weaknesses of this very republic. Yet through it all, Westtown continues to pursue our centuries-old work in Quaker education, teaching children and teens to understand and respect that of God in themselves and others, and helping them develop into resilient, fulfilled, and grounded adults. Come what may, Westtown School will always prepare today's students to be effective and ethical leaders of a stronger and brighter tomorrow.
When I think about the future, Westtown students give me hope. At our school, young people joyfully develop their unique gifts and purpose with the support and guidance of caring, creative educators. They grow and learn in a warm, compassionate environment. They understand the importance of belonging to a values-based community that is always striving, always seeking to improve. They learn that their voices matter. Your family's decision to entrust your children's education to Westtown is an act of love and faith in the future, and I thank you for it!
Soon you will receive an enrollment contract from our Admission Office. Westtown's Board of Trustees met in December to determine tuition for the 2021-22 academic year. Our Trustees decided that there will be no tuition increase for the 2021-22 academic year, in order to support our families during this extraordinarily difficult time. As ever, the school will carefully invest tuition revenue in Westtown's outstanding educators, financial aid, mission-driven programs, facilities, and resources. If you have any questions about the re-enrollment process or financial aid, I encourage you to contact Nathan Bohn '83, Dean of Enrollment Management, at your earliest convenience.
Thank you, friends, for being a part of the Westtown community. Thank you for investing in a bright, positive, better future for your children.
Sincerely yours, ![]()
