Being a student at Westtown means being more than a passive participant in a school experience – it means being fully invested in the whole environment. And our students are.
Days are busy and although academic life takes up much of the day, there's so much more available to you. Once the academic day is done, the campus hums with activity. Students meet with their clubs, spill out on to the fields for athletics, or go to their service locations or to the theater for set design or rehearsal. Then there's time to hang out at the Belfry (our student center, which sells food, including the best cookies ever). You can go to The Cave (the student lounge) and play foosball with your friends, or play Frisbee on the South Lawn - a true Westtown tradition. You could sing a song or recite a poem at Community Dinners or meet with your advisor group. The possibilities are endless.
One thing that’s special about Westtown is all the opportunities to get involved, no matter what your passions are. There are ample leadership positions available (more than 60 at last count), an organic farm on which you can help cultivate foods for the dining room, and clubs for just about everything from Earth Service to Model UN to the school newspaper.
And let’s not forget weekends! Both day and boarding students enjoy the fun weekend outings and on-campus activities planned by the Weekends at Westtown student club and the Weekend Coordinator.
There’s so much to do here that one thing’s for sure — it’s never boring!
