About the Program
Westtown’s Swim School provides kids age 3 and up the chance to work with great coaches to become the best swimmers they can be in a dynamic, fun and safe program.

Overview of Lessons
Westtown Aquatic Program’s Swim School is a learn-to-swim program that teaches an advanced progression of swimming in a two-week period. The beginning swimmer is initially taught the self-rescue survival float which will allow them to remain calm and confident in a distressful situation. Once swimmers are able to achieve the self-rescue float, they are promoted to the next level and taught the basics of the front crawl (freestyle). Lessons will consist of 45-minutes of in-the-pool time.

Skill Levels :
To achieve a consistent progression we believe a fluid transition from group to group will assistant in maximizing swimmer engagement.  Students will be tested on the first day of class and placed accordingly. Instructors or a deck manager will monitor your student’s progress and place them in the appropriate group.

Pre-requisite : All students must be 3 years of age and potty trained. No water diapers or flotation devices.




Tuition - $200.00 per session

Add 2 weeks of Day Camp to Swimming Lessons (rising Pre-K and above). Staff will pick students up right after their lesson at 9:45 a.m.

Students attending both Swim Lessons and Day Camp (either half or full day), should select the 9:00 a.m. class.

Swim Lessons plus two weeks half-day Day Camp: add additional $260.00, total for two weeks Swim Lessons and two weeks half day of day camp is $460.00

Swim Lessons plus two weeks full-day Day Camp: add additional $580.00, total for two weeks Swim Lessons and two weeks full-day of day camp is $780.00

Dates & Times: All skill levels will be offered during every session

Session 1: June 20- July 1 - Starting time: 9:00 – 9:45 AM │ 10:00 – 10:45 AM │ 11:00- 11:45 AM
Session 2: July 5- July 15 - Starting time: 9:00 – 9:50 AM│ 10:00 – 10:50 AM │ 11:00- 11:50 AM (Lessons are 50 minutes, no class on July 4th)
Session 3: July 18 – July 29 - Starting time:9:00 – 9:45 AM │ 10:00 – 10:45 AM │11:00- 11:45 AM


Beginner │ Children 3 years and up who cannot swim across the pool on their own. This level will work on building confidence in the water and instructors will teach a self-rescue float to the students.

·         Goal : To jump in, surface on back, and swim the width of the pool unassisted

Novice (Level 1)

Novice (Level 1) │  Children who are graduates of the Beginner level, and swimming successfully on their backs.  The self-rescue float is reinforced and students will progress into a front floating position by being taught how to roll from back to front and take freestyle arm strokes.

·         Goal: Self-sustaining floating position. Width of pool with freestyle arm strokes (unassisted)

Novice (Level 2)

Novice (Level 2) │ Children who have demonstrated the ability to perform a self-sustaining float and are ready to progression into freestyle swimming. Instructors will take students through a 3 step progression that will teach each swimmer how to perform proper bilateral freestyle swimming. Backstroke may be introduced.

·         Goal: 2 widths of pool, unassisted, bilateral freestyle
