Lauren Monahan- Golf
Lauren's 53 career low was a big part in propelling Westtown to wins over MFS and Perkiomen.

Boys' 4 x 100 Relay Team
Alex, Quin, Jalen, and Julian established a new record of 43.63. (Old 2011 record was 44.38)
Week of February 4th
Sarah Eddy- Indoor Track
Lone senior on the girls' squad. Leads the team by example and has been working tirelessly to improve. As a result of her efforts, she ran a personal best of 2:30.68 in the 800m run this past Friday at Lehigh University, dropping her time by nearly 2 seconds.
Charlie Herlocher- Wrestling
Earned wins against GFS, Peddie, and FCS (2 by pin and 1 major decision). Finished 3-1 at the very tough Cougar Duals. All three victories were by pin.
Week of January 28th
Amaya Douglas- Girls' Varsity Basketball
Led the team with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal in a big win over Friends' Central. When she wasn't scoring she was helping distribute the ball to teammates that picked apart FC's zone defense.
Ethan Kisiel- Wrestling
(5-0, 2 pins, 2 dec., 1 forf); Ethan was the most dominant 106 pounder at the event.
JP Lisi- Wrestling
(4-1, 1 pin, 3 decisions with 1 in OT; loss by 4 points against a good SCHA opponent wrestling up a weight class; had he not been bumped up he would have gone 5-0, but we needed him to keep their 160 pounder in check). JP had some tough opponents, but displayed tremendous grit and determination.
Week of January 14th
Cruz Buitron- Swimming
Won the 100 Breast and 200 Free against George and 200 Free and 100 Fly against FSS. Was also a part of 4 winning relays in the two meets: 200 Medley & 400 Free.
Griff Hankin- Wrestling
At the CFS Tournament, wrestled 5 bouts, winning 4 to finish 3rd place in a field of 15 schools, mostly public. It was his highest finish in a tournament so far in his HS career. He earned pins against experienced opponents and a 7-3 decision in a well-contested bout vs. his opponent from Abraham Lincoln HS in the consolation finals.
Week of January 7th
Jalen Gaffney- Boys' Varsity Basketball
Had 20 points, 8 boards, 5 assists, and 0 turnovers vs. Phelps. Team went 2-0 with a win vs. GFS as well.
Steph Hanchak- Indoor Track
Has been working hard to improve her times. She attended multiple practices over break and participated in a variety of workouts. As a result she ran a personal record in the 3000 meter run during last Friday's meet at Haverford College. She finished 6th overall with a time of 11:49.56 among a field of top competitors.
Week of December 17th
Lilly Jacobs- Swimming
Won the 500 free and the 100 back. Great work ethic and determination!
Jack Nangle- Swimming
Won the 200 IM and the 100 Breast.
Lily Wolman- JV Girls' Basketball
Stands out as our vocal leader in practice. Voted team captain. Skilled steady play helped lead JV to their first win over ANC.
Week of December 10th
Amaya Douglas- Girls' Varsity Basketball
In their tournament victory on Saturday, she scored 21 points even while battling foul trouble most of the game. She scored 9 of her 21 in the 3rd quarter helping the team out of a 4 point deficit.
Jack DeVuono- Wrestling
Won his weight class at the SCHA Tournament. He won all 5 of his matches, 4 by pin and one by major decision.
Jonathan Kornegay- Swimming
Placed first place in both the 200 Free and 100 Free in their meet this past Friday.
Week of December 3rd
JoJo Lacey- Girls' Varsity Basketball
Despite battling foul trouble, she had 11 points and 8 rebounds in a win against Penn Charter. In a tough loss to GA, she had 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Aidan Gunton- Wrestling
Had THREE come from behind wins to go undefeated in the GA JV Tournament.
Week of October 22nd
Maddie Boctor- Girls' Varsity Soccer
Helped the team bring home two critical wins this week over AFS & Shipley. She has anchored one of the best defenses in the area, helping to hold our opponents to only 5 goals against all season in 12 games played. Her outstanding play and organization of the defense has been outstanding all year and she will be relied upon as we enter post-season play.
Will Nagy- Cross Country
Came in 8th place at the FSL Championships with a time of 17:19. He was the top runner on boys' varsity, leading the team to a decisive second place finish.
Week of October 15th
Jadyn Williams- JV Field Hockey
Scored three goals last week for the JV field hockey team. Her energy, dedication, athleticism, and spirit have provided a huge spark for the team.
Aiden Morrison- Cross Country
Ran a 16:49 at the William Tennent Invitational to lead the boys' team to a 12th place finish among more than two dozen large public schools. He is the first runner to break 17 minutes this year and his time is only 40 seconds off the school record. A fantastic comeback from injury last year and testament to his patience and dedication!
Week of October 1st
Eddie Siwarski- Cross Country
Did a great job motivating his teammates with his positive attitude during our dual meet vs. George/AFS and the XC Invitational. Always puts the team first and models excellent sportsmanship for fellow runners. His leadership fueled the JV Boys' placing 2nd, while also earning him a new PR.
Sloan Isen- Girls' Varsity
Heroic effort in goal in difficult match-ups. Made 31 saves in two games.
Blake Larsen- JV Boys' Soccer
Was a huge part in the team's win vs. Shipley with two breakaway goals to help secure a 3-2 win! JV boys' soccer's first win over Shipley in years.
Week of September 24th
Sophie Yager- Girls' Varsity Tennis
Was the solo winner in her match vs. Hill School. Hard work and positive attitude.
Lily Wolman- Girls' JV Field Hockey
Lily played stellar midfield for the JV in their opener vs. Upland. In her very first field hockey game, her energy and enthusiasm provided inspiration for her teammates.
Week of September 17th
Steph Hanchak- Girls' Cross Country
Led the WT girls twice last week, setting a new PR twice, first on our slow home course vs. defending league champs, FCS with a 20:59 and then beating that at the George School Invitational where she came in 14th with a time of 20:45.
Tim Novak- Boys' Varsity Soccer
Played all 80 minutes in 2 games this week and scored 2 goals vs. Malvern Prep, including a stunning bicycle kick. He also anchored two remarkable defensive stands vs. Malvern and especially Mercersburg this Saturday. Incredible individual effort!
Week of September 10th
Natalie Neumann- Girls' Varsity Soccer
Senior Captain- GK
Started the 2018 season with two shutouts. Made 9 tremendous saves in the season opener win over a strong Downingtown West High School.
Mack Moore- Boys' Varsity Soccer
Slid seamlessly into a new role on the team so far this year and has excelled as an outside back. He solidified our defensive back line and contributed to a shutout win vs. Perkiomen and then had a goal and multiple assists this past Saturday vs. West Nottingham Academy in a 6-2 win.
