First LEGO League
Rising 4th - 6th Grade Campers

LEGO robotics is a foundational experience for students who want to understand design, engineering, and robot function. Campers will learn the basics of LEGO robotics systems, then expand their work to include the designing, building, and programming of robots with touch and vision sensing capabilities, as well as creating specialized appendages targeted to complete a series of game challenges from the 2019 season.
3D World
Rising 4th - 6th Grade Campers

The 3D World teaches campers to transform projects from idea to reality. Through the use of CAD (computer-aided design) software and basic arduino coding, campers will design a variety of projects. They will learn to use digital laser cutters, CNC routers, and 3D printers to fabricate their designs. A culminating project will allow them to design and build a personalized, electronic vault.
First Tech Robotics Challenge
Rising 4th - 6th Grade Campers

Building on lessons learned from LEGO robotics, campers will tackle the First Tech Robotics Challenge, which offers more independence and autonomy of designing, building, and programming radio-controlled robots to achieve the goals of a specific challenge set. Beyond the kit, students will learn basic hand and power tool use and may employ our 3D printer and laser cutter in the creation of specialized robots. 
Submersible Robots and Underwater Exploration
Rising 4th - 6th Grade Campers

To learn about underwater exploration and the role of submersible robots, campers will first work from a kit system to create a vision-guided sub, then design and build their own versions based on ideas about hydrodynamics, thrust-balance, and mobility. Adaptive manipulators will be added to meet the challenges presented to them in an underwater exploration obstacle course.

Assistive Mobility – GoBabyGo
Rising 7th - 9th Grade Campers

Join the team of worldwide technologists, working through the University of Delaware GoBabyGo program, to help children with physical mobility challenges! Students will explore the process of designing adaptive technology through sketches and CAD drawings, and learn to use (including laser cutter, CNC router and 3D printer) to adapt an electric children’s vehicle for a child with limited mobility.
Tiny House Nation
Rising 7th - 9th Grade Campers

Born from an Upper School Senior Project, Westtown's Tiny House provides a unique opportunity for collaborative design and expansion. Building on last year’s summer program, campers will work together to design a mobile lab for use on the school’s farm or lake. They will learn the safe use of hand and power tools to complete interior walls, storage, and water supply systems to finish the “wet-lab” to be used for aquatic studies and water testing.
