Learn more about donor-advised funds (DAFs) on the IRS website here. To recommend a grant to Westtown School from your donor-advised fund, please initiate the gift directly through your fund manager. The Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program allows businesses and individuals who operate and pay taxes in Pennsylvania to redirect a portion of their tax liability to Westtown School as a philanthropic gift for financial aid. If you are 70½ or older and have an IRA or other defined-contribution retirement account, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your account to Westtown. Contact your account administrator to arrange your gift. The QCD will count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), but it will not be included as taxable income on your federal tax return.
